Privacy Policy
ioeo (“the developer”) publishes Tide Launcher and Tide Browser (“the apps”) on Google Play. This policy explains what information the apps handle, where it is stored and where it is sent.
- The developer runs no servers. The apps do not send your personal information to the developer or collect it.
- The apps contain no ads, analytics or tracking tools.
- What you create in the apps (history, notes, settings and so on) stays on your device.
- Features that use outside services, such as search, translation and payments, contact those services directly and only when you use them.
1. Information stored only on your device
Tide Launcher
- App list and usage: read to show and sort your apps. If you grant Usage Access, app usage is read to point out apps you have not used in a while.
- Notes, timers, folders, widget layout and settings that you create.
- Contacts: searched on the device only when you turn on contact search.
- Calendar: read only when you turn on the next-event line in the clock widget.
- Photos: only the photos you pick for the lock screen or wallpaper.
- Notifications and media playback: if you grant Notification Access, read to show them in the notification and player widgets; never stored or sent.
- Mail widget account: the email address, mail server and app password you enter, stored on the device. The password is encrypted with the Android Keystore.
- Accessibility service: used only to turn the screen off when you double-tap the home screen. It does not read screen content.
Tide Browser
- History, bookmarks, open tabs, downloads list, per-site settings, user scripts and app settings.
- Cookies and site data saved by the websites you visit, kept in Android System WebView on your device.
- Incognito tabs: their history and site data are deleted when the tabs are closed.
2. When information leaves your device
These features talk to the listed services directly, never through the developer, and only when you use them. Each service handles data under its own privacy policy.
| Feature | What is sent | Sent to |
|---|---|---|
| Opening web pages (browser) | Page requests and that site's cookies | The websites you visit |
| Search and suggestions | The words you type | The search engine you choose (Google, Naver, DuckDuckGo). Suggestions can be turned off. |
| Page translation (browser) | Translation runs on the device by default; language models are downloaded on first use. When on-device translation is unavailable, the page address may be sent. | Google (ML Kit, Google Translate) |
| Ad-block filter updates (browser) | Requests to download filter lists (no personal data) | The filter providers you enable, such as EasyList and AdGuard |
| Mail widget (launcher) | Your email address and app password, over an encrypted connection | The mail server you enter (IMAP) |
| Purchases and subscriptions | Payment details are handled by Google; the apps only check whether you have purchased. | Google Play |
Tide Browser checks whether you subscribe to Tide Launcher Pro by asking Tide Launcher on the same device. Only apps signed by the same developer can make this check, and nothing is sent over the network.
3. Sharing with third parties
The developer does not share your personal information with third parties or hire anyone to process it. Payments are handled by Google Play under the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Retention and deletion
- Information on your device stays until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app, which removes it.
- History, cookies, mail accounts and similar data can be cleared at any time in the app settings.
- Backup files you export are saved where you choose and are yours to manage.
5. Your rights
You can view, change and delete your information inside the apps. The developer keeps none of your personal information, but you are welcome to contact us with any question.
6. Security
- Mail passwords are encrypted with the Android Keystore.
- Connections to outside services use encryption (HTTPS, SSL) where available.
- The subscription check between the apps is limited to apps signed with the same key.
7. Children
The apps are not directed at children under 14 and do not knowingly collect children's personal information.
